Ergonomics & occupational safety
Health anchored in the working environment.
What it's about
Ergonomics shapes the workplace so that it does not make people ill: height-adjustable desks, noise protection, good lighting, safe processes. Unlike the behaviour fields, it works structurally — for everyone at once, without each person having to do anything.
Why it pays off
Musculoskeletal disorders have been the number one cause of absence days for years. Improving the conditions permanently reduces absences and, at the same time, fulfils occupational-safety obligations. Structural measures are usually not eligible for health-insurance funding, but often the most sustainable investment.
